Ginger Brown was founded by Anupama , an alumni of the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, where she specialized in textile design. She has worked on various techniques of fabric treatment and developed innovative methods of fabric and surface construction. Her study into the History of Textiles and Traditional Indian Crafts and Textiles helped her explore and develop designs for varied spaces. Anupama works with a strong design process involving trend study and analysis, usability and functional enhancements of products, with the emphasis being to suit the product to the user. 

-She began her journey of exploring crafts with the locals at the ‘City of Nawabs’, Lucknow, spending months with an NGO training in Chikankari and helped them design/develop a range of  products for the export market.

-At TCNS, in Delhi she developed a range of patterned garments for the company’s brand launch under the name ‘W’. 

-At Textrade, an export house in Mumbai, she developed a range of  coordinated collections which were displayed at Heimtex Fair at Germany.

Finally, Ginger Brown was founded in Pune in 2005 as her own enterprise. Since then the journey has been endless and each year we grow richer in terms of experience, adding to our profile the ideas we start experimenting and eventually the achievement of beautiful homes and happy customers.
